Our Philosophy

We believe that peace and development are humanity’s highest values. We consider positive peace worth any price. Violence is a construct of the human mind. As youth become agents of violence, they can as well become agents of peace through empowerment

Our Values

Nonviolence

Nonviolence brings a sense of dignity, morality, equality, and respect for the rights of all human beings; it fosters appreciation of all cultures and religions, as well as ecological concern and awareness. It is an expression of universal love that promotes unity among people and a sense of being part of a whole.

Trust

Establishing and maintaining trust is integral to our vision of achieving positive peace. Thus, the relationship between trust and peace creates a potential virtuous cycle where trust is both an antecedent to and an outcome of positive peace. Team members must always act in a trust-worthy manner and relate to other team members and beneficiaries in a way that builds trust.

Deep and empathetic listening

We understand that our beneficiaries and stakeholders want to be heard. Therefore, we value deep and empathic listening. This is the practice of suspending judgment, being attentive and emotionally connected with the other person, and finding similarities between their experience and your own so you can give a more heartfelt response to their expectations.

Pure Living

We encourage less toxic lifestyle. A peaceful environment must be environmentally friendly. Our team members must commit to environmental protection and must always integrate environmental indicators into peace indices and projects for our beneficiaries.
